STABIlization, replacing missing materials

The desk arrived in a state of severe structural disrepair, marked by extensive damage to the veneer, including loose and missing pieces. Compounding the restoration challenge was the presence of split bottoms in several drawers and the remnants of a deteriorating prior restoration attempt.

The restoration process prioritized comprehensive structural stabilization, addressing the foundational issues that compromised the integrity of the piece. Additionally, meticulous efforts were dedicated to the replacement of missing veneer, ensuring a seamless integration with the original design. The restoration process aimed not only to rectify the visible damages but also to breathe new life into the piece, preserving its historical charm for generations to come.
